M.O.C.A. · Mastery of Clear Aligners

Most programs teach you
how to sell cases.
We teach you how to finish them.

M.O.C.A. is a complete clinical education system built for general dentists who want to think differently about clear aligners. Two levels. One mission. Stop prescribing. Start designing.

The program

Think like plastic.
Not like a salesperson.

M.O.C.A. was not built to teach you how to prescribe aligners. It was built to teach you how to design treatment. There is a big difference.

Clear aligners are biomechanics.
Not a product you just order.

General dentists are prescribing more aligners than ever. Most open the software, click "go," and let the algorithm design the treatment. That is not treatment planning. That is delegating your clinical thinking to a computer.

M.O.C.A. starts where every great case starts: what does this tooth need to do, and can plastic actually do it? No special manual skills. No magic. Just clinical reasoning applied to aligner mechanics.

Once you understand this, you will never unlearn it. It is like riding a bike. That knowledge follows you into every single case you will ever plan.

Starting cases is easy. Anyone can click "submit." M.O.C.A. brings you to the finish line.

01

Biomechanics before software

You learn what plastic can and cannot do before you touch a screen. That changes everything about how you plan.

02

No manual dexterity required

This is clinical thinking, not surgical skill. Your hands are already good enough. Your training is the gap.

03

Comprehensive dentistry, not a silo

Aligners belong in your full treatment workflow. Not separated from occlusion, restorations, or patient goals.

04

We solve cases. We do not sell them.

Most CE teaches case presentation. M.O.C.A. teaches case design. There is a difference, and your patients will feel it.

05

Built for general practitioners

Not an orthodontic program dressed up for GPs. Designed from day one for the dentist who does everything.

The real cost

It is not the future.
It is already Tuesday.

Digital dentistry arrived. It did not announce itself. Patients are already searching for aligner providers on Google, on ChatGPT, on social media. The question is no longer whether you should learn this. The question is how far behind you want to be when you finally do.

Every month you wait

The gap between you
and confident providers widens.

  • Patients who asked you about aligners are now being treated by someone else.
  • Cases you refer out are being finished by dentists with the same hands you have.
  • The most profitable treatment in dentistry is leaving your office every single week.
  • Patients are searching Google and ChatGPT for aligner providers. They want this. They search for this. By name.
The bigger picture

Aligners are now part of comprehensive dentistry.

  • Teeth position affects everything: occlusion, restorations, longevity of your work.
  • Understanding aligner mechanics makes you more conservative, more minimally invasive.
  • It reduces stress. Fewer emergencies, better outcomes, more predictable cases.
  • It is the most enjoyable thing you will add to your clinical week.

"Did they offer to move your teeth before they restored them?"

That question is coming. Patients who had restorations placed without a conversation about tooth position will eventually ask it. The dentists who did not have that conversation will be in a difficult position. Learning aligner mechanics now is not just about revenue. It is about the standard of care you will be held to in five years.

101 or 201: which one is yours?

Four questions. Thirty seconds. An honest recommendation based on where you actually are, not where you think you are.

Question 1 of 4

Have you ever started a clear aligner case in your practice?

Question 2 of 4

Have you ever finished a case and thought "I could have done better"?

Question 3 of 4

Do you know, before placing a case, what the limits of plastic actually are?

Question 4 of 4

What is your biggest frustration with clear aligners right now?

Your track

M.O.C.A. 101 is your starting point.

You are exactly where most dentists are when they start: motivated, but without the biomechanical framework that makes everything else click. M.O.C.A. 101 gives you the foundation. The attachment theory, the force systems, the treatment planning logic that you will use in every single case from here forward.

Your track

M.O.C.A. 201 is where you belong.

You have started cases. You have finished some. And somewhere along the way you started suspecting the software is doing more guessing than you thought. M.O.C.A. 201 is built for exactly that moment. It is where the real clinical thinking begins: the force system, the finishing mechanics, the refinements that actually work.

The honest version

Let's talk about the real reasons.

You are going to read both sides. One of them should make you slightly uncomfortable. That is on purpose.

Why you should do it

Real reasons. Not slogans.

  • It is the most profitable treatment you can offer in your office, and the only one patients are actively searching for and requesting by name.
  • It lowers your stress level. Predictable cases. Fewer emergencies. You stop dreading Monday mornings.
  • It makes you a better dentist across the board: more conservative, more minimally invasive, with a deeper understanding of occlusion.
  • You can balance your clinical life and your personal life without reducing your revenue. Aligners check that box.
  • It is honestly one of the most interesting things you can do clinically. The thinking involved keeps dentistry engaging.
  • Monthly payment options. This pays for itself with one or two cases.
Why you should not do it

The perfectly valid objections.

  • You really enjoy sending aligner patients to the office down the street. Good for them.
  • You prefer it when patients ask about aligners and you say "I don't do that." Nothing wrong with a clear referral strategy.
  • You have more than enough stress already and you are actively looking for more. Congratulations on your optimism.
  • You don't want to offer the only treatment your patients really want.
  • Your revenue is exactly where you want it and your schedule is completely full. Genuinely, if that is true: great. Call us in a year.
  • You tried CE before and it did not change anything in your practice. (We hear this. It is why MOCA is built the way it is.)

You always regret the things you did not do.

We know M.O.C.A. works. The dentists who have been through it know it. The cases they are finishing prove it. The question is not whether it works. The question is when you are ready to find out.

Do I need experience with clear aligners to start?

No. M.O.C.A. 101 is designed for dentists who have never placed a case. It builds the foundation from the beginning: what plastic can do, what it cannot, and how to think about treatment design before you touch any software.

If you have done cases before but feel your results are inconsistent, 101 often fills the gaps that nobody told you about when you started. Many doctors who had experience with clear aligners took MOCA 101 and said “I didn’t know that I didn’t know!”

What is the difference between 101 and 201?

101 is the foundation. Biomechanics, attachment theory, patient selection, basic to moderate case design. The place to start if you want to understand clear aligners from the ground up.

201 goes deeper into mechanics. The complex movements, the refinement strategy, Class II, Deep bites, Open bites, Kids and teens, the cases that do not track as expected and why. This is where you stop referring out and start solving.

If you are not sure which to start with, use the track quiz above or even better, take a 15 minute Zoom appointment with Eva, our Clear Education Manager. You will find the link at the bottom of this page.

Is this live or self-paced?

Both programs are 100% self-paced video. You learn on your schedule, between patients, on evenings, whenever it fits. You get 365 days of access and you can rewatch any module as many times as you need.

There are no live sessions, no group calls, no scheduling conflicts.

How long does it take to complete each program?

M.O.C.A. 101 is 45 CE hours across 20 modules. Most dentists work through it over 8 to 12 weeks depending on their schedule. M.O.C.A. 201 is 45 CE hours across 12 modules, typically completed in 8 to 12 weeks.

There is no pace requirement. You have 365 days. Many dentists revisit specific modules as new cases come up.

Is M.O.C.A. approved for CE credits?

M.O.C.A. 101 and 201 are AGD PACE approved for 45 CE hours. Both certificates are available for download upon completion.

Is M.O.C.A. brand-specific?

No. The curriculum is based on biomechanics, not software. The principles you learn apply regardless of which aligner brand you use in your practice. We show cases treated with Invisalign and use the ClinCheck software in our examples, but our feedback from dentists using other systems has been positive and they continue to get their education from The CLEAR Institute. The thinking transfers.

What is the payment plan option?

Both programs offer a monthly payment option. They are available for $320/month for 12 months. There is no auto-renewal once your plan is complete. Once your 12 months completed you can extend your full access for a minimal monthly fee (currently$30).

You get full access to the program from day one, regardless of the payment option you choose.

What is the refund policy?

You can access our full refund policy by clicking the link you will find in the footer of this website

I have done aligner CE before and it did not change my practice. How is this different?

Most aligner CE teaches you how to present and sell cases. M.O.C.A. teaches you how to design and solve them. That is a different starting point and it leads to different outcomes.

The feedback we hear most often is that dentists who did aligner CE before found M.O.C.A. was the course that made the other things make sense. The biomechanics foundation changes what you do with the rest of the information you already have.

Can I do 101 and 201 together?

Yes. Many dentists enroll in both. If you want to move through the full M.O.C.A. system without waiting, you can enroll in both programs and work through them in sequence. Reach out to Eva for the best option for your situation.
