Session 1 — Clinical and Diagnostic Foundations (April 24–25)

Day 1: Fundamentals and Data Collection

  • Introduction to modern orthodontics: types of malocclusion and comorbidities (the WHY)
  • Principles of space creation for dental alignment
  • Orthodontic anatomy and predictability of tooth movement
  • Adults vs. growing patients
  • Clinical data collection
  • Hands-on Workshop: Photography + digital scanning + complete record taking + informed consent

Day 2: Diagnosis and Documentation

  • The optimal consultation
  • Case selection
  • Simplified cephalometric analysis
  • Functional analysis
  • Record keeping
  • Hands-on Workshop: Establishing diagnosis and prognosis for 2 sample cases
Session 2 — Treatment Planning and Sequencing (September 18–19)

Day 3: Treatment Planning

  • Advantages of orthodontic treatment with aligners
  • Biomechanics: Invisalign vs. braces
  • Class I, Class II, and Class III cases
  • Review of ClinCheck software
  • Attachments 101
  • Early troubleshooting
  • Hands-on Workshop: Step-by-step planning of a ClinCheck case

Day 4: Initiating Invisalign Treatment

  • Receiving and verifying aligners
  • Placement of attachments and IPR (Interproximal Reduction)
  • Patient instructions
  • Hands-on Workshop: Attachment placement on model and IPR
Session 3 — Follow-Up, Complication Management, and Finishing (December 11–12)

Day 5: Follow-Up and Adjustments

  • Evaluation at follow-up visits
  • Clinical monitoring and refinements
  • Refinements: when and how
  • Clinical troubleshooting: elastics and conventional auxiliaries
  • Hands-on Workshop: Placement of buttons and elastics

Day 6: Finishing and Retention

  • End-of-treatment criteria and final records
  • Management of posterior open bites
  • Retention protocols
  • Communication with the patient
  • Course wrap-up and review
  • Hands-on Workshop: Retention protocols (MEB) + closing Q&A
