2. What type of cookies do we use?
Some cookies, called “persistent cookies”, may be stored permanently on your device and may have a variable duration. Other cookies, called “session cookies”, may disappear when your browser is closed and have a limited lifespan.
The persistent cookies or session cookies we use may be installed directly by the site (“first-party cookies”) or may be installed by another website (“third-party cookies”).
This site uses first-party cookies and third-party cookies, of the types described below:
2.1 Essential Cookies (strictly necessary cookies): Cookies that are essential to provide you with the services you have requested. For example, these include the cookies that make it possible for you to stay logged into your site account, post comments, fill in forms or setting your privacy preferences. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information;
2.2 Browsing and Functionality Cookies: Cookies that are used to recognize you and remember your preferences or settings, by example your selected language or your country of origin. These technical cookies recognize you upon a new access to the site, and helps you avoid the need to set these preferences each time you access the site again. Overall, functionality cookies enhance your browsing experience. They may be set by us (first-party cookies) or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages (third-party cookies). If you do not allow these cookies, then some or all of these services may not function properly;
2.3 Performance Cookies: Cookies which measure how often you visit our site and how you use it. We use this information to get a better sense of how our users engage with our site and to improve our site and apps, so that users have a better experience. For example, we collect information about which of our pages are most frequently visited, and by which types of users. We also use third-party cookies (such as Google Analytics) to help with performance. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous (they do not allow to identify the user). If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our site and will not be able to monitor its performance;
2.4 Advertising/Targeting Cookies: Cookies that are used to collect information about your visit to our site, including the content you have viewed, the links you have followed and information about your browser, your device and your IP address. These cookies may be set through our site by our partners and may be used by these partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertisements on other sites. For example, you may see products that you’re looking for more quickly, or you may be shown similar products. These cookies do not store directly personal information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.
4. Your Rights
Data collected using cookies will be processed by L’Institut C.L.E.A.R. Inc. / The C.L.E.A.R. Institute Inc. (the “C.L.E.A.R.”), a corporation governed under the Canada Business Corporations Act and having its head office in the Province of Quebec (Canada).
