Retention is the phase of orthodontic treatment that attempts to keep teeth in the corrected positions after orthodontic treatment. Without a phase of retention, there is a tendency for teeth to return to their initial position (relapse).

To prevent relapse, almost every person who has orthodontic treatment will require some type of retention. But what is the best retention? Fixed or removable? Is there a recipe that will guarantee that teeth will not move and that our patients will remain stable for the rest of their life?

This course will give you the answer and will keep you up to date on the most recent scientific facts about retention in orthodontics.
