The reference in clear aligner education
Impaction of cuspids is something we see in 1 to 3% of patients, as reported in the scientific literature by Bishara. This might seem small, but it is the second highest frequency behind the third molar impaction.
Treatment of impacted cuspids is difficult, particularly with clear aligners. This subject will be covered in a more advanced course, part of the MOCA 301 learning program.
Since we know it is difficult, our role as treating dentists and primary care providers is to prevent and avoid problems.
This course will cover the diagnostic and treatment planning of malpositioned cuspids. How to prevent their impaction, and once out, how to bring them into position.
Using case examples and scientific literature, always referring to his clinical experience, Dr. Stephane Reinhardt will share his knowledge on how to treat cases presenting ectopic cuspids.
